IS - Do you still remember Aceh Cuisine, Ayam Goreng (Fried Chicken)? Well, not far from Aceh means that it is still an area in Sumatra, there is a special Medan dish called Ayam Bakar (Grilled Chicken). In Aceh, chicken is cooked by frying, in Medan the chicken is grilled.

Softened seasoning:

  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper.
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin.
  • 1/2 tablespoon anise
  • 1 tablespoon coriander.
  • 2 cm turmeric.
  • 3 cm ginger.
  • 2 cm galangal.
  • 3 hazelnuts.

Ingredients:

  • 1 country chicken.
  • 1 lime, take the juice.
  • 4 cloves garlic.
  • 6 cloves of red onion.
  • 6 red chilies.

How to Make Ayam Bakar:

  1. Marinate chicken with lime and salt, let stand for 15 minutes. Wash again until clean, set aside.
  2. Add the ground spices of cinnamon, cloves, lime leaves, turmeric and lemongrass until fragrant into the pan, stir until the chicken changes color. Pour coconut milk, cook on low heat until coconut milk is reduced.
  3. Add thick coconut milk, cook until the gravy dries. Lift.
