- Aceh is indeed famous for its various cultures as well as a variety of cuisines. One of them is that IS will share with friends from all over the world.

In the previous post I have shared some from Aceh (See, Aceh Cuisine). IS will provide tips and how to cook Acehnese specialties, namely Udang Masak (Cooked Shrimp). For more details, let's see together how to make it and what ingredients are needed.

Softened seasoning:

  • 5 red chilies.
  • 3 spring onions.
  • 2 cloves of garlic.
  • 2 cm turmeric.
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 nutmeg.

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of medium shrimp, peeled, cut back.
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil.
  • 1 stick of lemongrass.
  • 2 pieces of suntil acid, puree.
  • 2 tablespoons grated coconut, roasted, finely ground.
  • 250 ml of water.
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 1 teaspoon sugar.

How to Make Udang Masak:

  1. Heat oil in cooking utensil. Saute the spices that have been mashed until fragrant. Add lemongrass and sunti acid.
  2. Put the shrimp in the cooking utensil. Stir it up. Cook until the shrimp changes color.
  3. Add mashed roasted coconut, water, salt, and sugar.
  4. Cook in a cooking utensil over low heat until the sauce thickens. Remove and serve.
